css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1502321912266{padding-right: 30px !important;padding-left: 30px !important;}&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><b>What we&#8217;re working to address<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;13px&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are several studies that clearly demonstrate that social determinants, such as poverty, isolation, stigmatization, and a lack of social support and social cohesion, are risk factors closely associated with the development and continuation of mental health conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among other factors, they report that quality of living environment and housing, sense of belonging to a community, civic engagement, and healthy lifestyle choices are positive factors that support the rehabilitation of an individual suffering from a mental health condition.\u00a0 However, there are few resources in the Estrie that directly address these protective factors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In response to this issue, &#8220;My Shack&#8221;\u00a0is seeking to implement an apartment-style residence with supervised housing at a modest cost for its clientele in Sherbrooke, in a stimulating, bilingual environment.\u00a0 This project will be the first to offer bilingual services in Estrie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this project, the organization seeks to contribute in a meaningful way to the rehabilitation of individuals living with mental health problems.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;
